Personal NVC History:
What attracted you, how did you get started
and what was
your motivation to become a trainer?
In 1988 I was initiated to NVC by Marshall
at the University of Humanistic Studies in
Del Mar.
I soon joined the small local NVC group and
attended more Marshall Rosenberg workshops
and classes with local trainers.
I was brought up in two families, one "Jackal" and
one "Giraffe". And yes, these are
labels.
From early on I wondered why one and the same
child could be brought up in such different
manners,
I guess I wanted to know what they were and
promote the one that felt better.
In my work as an MFT I was tired of listening
to couples accuse and blame each other.
I was happy to have found another, more constructive
method and soon integrated NVC into my work.

Training Preferences
Who do you enjoy working
with and what do you enjoy about working
with each?
I like the challenge of working with
couples before or in trouble.
It helps to have an education and
license in Marriage and Family
therapy.
I am eager to bring NVC into organizations,
especially educational and health
organizations.
I love working with elementary
school children. It gets a little
harder
with HS students;
sometimes I do not understand their
language.
