Trip Overview
Lake Billy Chinook is a spectacular reservoir comprising three rivers: the Metolius, the Crooked and the Deschutes. The fishing here can be awesome at times in the Spring. At the shop we sometimes refer to it as fishing in a miniature version of the Grand Canyon. This reservoir is considered to be a prized fishery for Bull trout, One of the only places in the west where Bull trout can be clearly targeted. These fish often reach very large sizes. It is special to fish for trophy sized Bull trout anywhere in the world. We consider Lake Billy Chinook to be the best.
